Training Program Staff

Science technology policy training program aims to contribute to enhancing participating countries' science and technology capacity by transferring the development process of science and technology and policy experiences in Korea to relevant officials working for science technology policy in developing countries, and to facilitate the formation of a continuous cooperative relationship among countries. The training session runs for two weeks with about 15 participants. It includes lectures, industrial fieldtrip and on-site training.

Training Program Staff

- ART (APEC Research and Technology) program is a part of the "APEC Science Technology Network(ASTN)", a follow-up measure of the "2nd APEC Ministers' Conference on Regional Science and Technology Cooperation that was held in 1996. The program aims to contribute to enhancing R&D capacity in the region by sharing experiences on R&D management among APEC member countries.
This program playes a bridging role among member countries in APEC's regional R&D management, and provides opportunities to Korean participants to experience various cases of APEC member countries. This program is attended by about 30 participants annually including science and technology policy makers, researchers and professors from APEC member countries, and runs a week.
